Her flexible approach to working out is refreshing. As we work out at home Gillian has to deal with a full household, children running around trying to whip off with her equipment and the like, her patience and understanding is remarkable. My objective is to feel better after a work out, to make the most of inner energy in order to be able to run my business and still have lots of capacity for my family.. With a ski ing injury, coupled with back and neck pain, there has to be an all-inclusive approach to the workout. It is not possible on each occasion for me to handle 'heavy' work, Gillian offers a wide variety of exercise options. When feeling good, I surprise myself by boxing and lifting heavy weights. When the injury and pain is impinging, then Gillian introduces a combination of yoga and pilates. My husband now enjoys working out with Gillian, I can see that the work
she is doing with him is totally different to mine. There are many strings
to Gillian's bow, her sense of humour helps make the time we spend together
fun and invigorating. High blood pressure and excess pounds meant I needed to increase my exercise levels and lose weight. However, as un unfit, uncoordinated 40 something asthmatic I was unable to join a fitness class as the pace was way beyond my capabilities. So I tentatively decided to give one to one training a try. From my first hesitant call to Gill I felt at ease. Gill was friendly and encouraging and devised a programme suitable for me and also advised on diet. It was never too much for me to cope with nor too easy. She encouraged and pushed me on. The programme has been flexible and varied as I have progressed and now 6 months later I can jog (something which I have never managed previously in my life) and I have lost nine and a half inches from my waist! Which although is wonderful is insignificant compared to how much better I feel about myself. Many thanks to Gill.
