What is the difference between Virtual Personal Training
and having a personal trainer ?
The only difference is that you do not have the face to face contact
of the trainer there with you. The motivation and training will be the
same.
Is Virtual Personal Training suitable for everyone
?
It may not suit those who need someone there to make sure they
complete a workout and perform to their maximum ability.
Is Virtual Personal Training just like personal training
online ?
It is similar, but Motivation121 is different in that it gives you a totally
personalised programme (not a computer generated one) based on
the personal information you supply. You also have unlimited 2-way access to the
trainer at any time via text, e-mail and phone. This is UNIQUE !!
Do I need to bring anything to your classes ?
All mats and equipment are supplied, but bring along a towel and a drink
(not fizzy) to the classes.
What do I wear ?
Wear comfortable clothing, that you can freely move around in. A sports
bra may be advisable for the Bodysculpt class.
Who can attend ?
Basically anyone can attend any of the classes. If you want to improve
your total fitness, posture and appearance, improve any back pain then
there is a class for you.
What if I have an injury ?
Please speak to me prior to starting the class with full details of the
injury. Most exercises can be adapted to take the problem into account.
A full medical questionnaire needs to be completed before commencing any
class when you first come along.
What will Pilates give me ?
A long, lean and strong body. Retraining the body to work efficiently
with minimal effort and no tension. Co-ordination is improved and as the
body comes into alignment, the level of your general health can improve
due to the internal organs sitting and functioning properly.
What will Chi Yoga give me ?
Chi Yoga is a flowing routine of Tai Chi and yoga with some Pilates. It
will strengthen the whole body and flexibility will improve in around
4 weeks. A great sense of achievement is realised when performing some
of the moves. You will feel relaxed and yet energised at the end.
What will Bodysculpt give me ?
Bodysculpt consists of around 25 minutes of aerobics which should be done
to the maximum of your ability to burn the mosty calories and then it
is followed by a toning section to sculpt the arms, legs, buttocks and
abdominals. You should notice an increase in your fitness levels and bodytone
with regular classes.
When should I eat ?
Try not to eat anything 2 hours prior to your class or personal training
session, to avoid a stitch or cramps. Make sure you take regular drinkls
of water or sports drink during the sessions and afterwards. |

Why would I benefit from a Personal Trainer ?
Sometimes it is hard to motivate ourselves to do what we know we should
be doing. The benefit of a personal trainer is having someone there to
make sure that you perform the activities correctly but also very important
to be able to motivate you and ensure you get the most out of your workout.
It is too easy to cheat when you are on your own, but not so easy with
someone beside you coaxing you all the way.
Can you advise me on nutrition ?
Yes. I am fully qualified in Nutrition and weight management and I can
advise you on all aspects of nutrition and what to eat and not to eat.
As a female, I am concerned that lifting weights will make me gain too much muscle. Is this true ?
This is a common myth. Basically you will NOT gain big muscles as females do not have enough of the hormone testosterone in the body,
whereas men do - which is why they are naturally bigger. Bringing weights into your programme will help to prevent osteoporosis,
increase your muscle tone, as well as helping to burn fat and increasing your general strength.
